坐落在美丽的杭州西湖边植物园腹地的韩美林艺术馆，2005年10月19日落成并正式对外开放。这是一处与著名艺术家韩美林先生相关的集收藏、展览、研究、公共教育与对外交流的艺术空间，而韩美林先生的艺术魅力在这里为天堂杭州增添了浓墨重彩的一笔。
2010年10月，经过改陈后的韩美林艺术馆焕然一新，将更加全面系统地展示韩美林先生的艺术成就，以及韩美林先生多方面的艺术才华和无限的创造活力。观众在这里可以欣赏到他所涉猎的丰富的艺术门类和众多的艺术作品，感受他对杭州的深深情缘和浓烈的爱国热情。
全馆共设7个展厅，包括序厅、足迹、雕塑厅、绘画厅、紫砂厅、陶瓷工艺厅、综合艺术厅，展品1500余件。此外，馆内还设有书吧等文化休闲区，为游客营造高雅静谧的艺术氛围和优美舒适的休闲环境。
这里将为游人在感悟自然之余提供艺术的补充。

Introductory Hall
Located in Hangzhou Botanical Garden beside West Lake, the Hangzhou Han Meilin Art Gallery opened to the public on October 19, 2005. It is an art space used for collection, exhibition and research of Mr. Han’s art works, and for public education and foreign exchanges. Mr. Han’s artistic charm adds to the glamour of the “City of Heaven”, Hangzhou.

Arts and Crafts Hall
Mr. Han Meilin is involved in almost every aspect of the field of the arts and crafts.
Chinese traditional ceramics is part of the Chinese splendid ancient culture. Mr. Han Meilin develops himself in studying Chinese ceramics and is deeply involved in the magic changes of furnace fambe. In long-term practice, he integrated his artistic intelligence with arts and crafts art. His pottery and porcelain works appear in thousands of shapes and the glazes are gorgeous. His Jun Porcelain designs include cups, plates, bottles, bowls, pots, and so on. Take the large porcelain bottles for example; they are 60 to 70 centimeters in diameter and the glaze colors change greatly when seen from different angles. His hanging plates are simple but elegant and of strong decorative effect. These pottery and porcelain works with strong personal features maintain the advantages of traditional technology yet are integrated with modern design concepts.

Calligraphy Hall
Calligraphy is an essential component of Han’s art. There are two forms: one is a variant of the Yen style of regular script, and the other is seal script that blends well with his decorative style. His regular script is solid, straight and upright, which reflects his own spirit and personality. His seal characters are graceful and changeable, which mirror his artistic inspiration.
Han has also created A Book from Heaven based on his collection of tens of thousands of characters from the inscriptions on ancient oracle bones, ceramics and bronze objects. Their pronunciations, meanings and structures are hard to trace. A Book from Heaven is about inscriptions, writing styles and paintings.

Public Education, product of the progress of social civilization, aims to provide visitors with more educational resources and cultural spaces, so as to deepen their artistic cognition and inspiration.
The souls need to be nourished and soothed by the Art. What the heart wishes, the hands accomplish. Han Meilin Art Gallery attaches great importance to education and enlightenment of the children with the power of Art. Based on artistic works of Han Meilin, the Art Gallery has developed many carriers of painting forms to participate in the spiritual construction of the children. Based on cognitive rules and features of the adolescent, and by extracting the vivid, childish and charmingly naive elements from Han Meilin’s painting works, we have organized a series of theme activities to meet cultural needs of the children and to enhance their artistic quality. The pursuit of love and beauty is the common ground of human being, and we conduct the children into Han Meilin’s World of Art, where the Artist pursues the highest good, the perfect beauty and the pure sincerity with a soft heart. The children may take pleasure in such theme activities, which are so instructive, interesting, unique in forms and original in contents.
The Hall of Public Education will also hold temporary exhibitions from time to time to supplement its permanent ones. Such exhibitions are to provide visitors with diversified art experience and meet their cultural needs. The visitors may have interactive experience, and participate in artistic explorations and practices. By combining contents with modern technologies, the visitors are taught through lively activities, and the Art Gallery realizes its function of educational communications.

The Hall of Public Education will also hold temporary exhibitions from time to time to supplement its permanent ones.
